Blood Drive Oct 9

The Lake County Farm Bureau, in conjunction with LifeSource Blood Services, will be hosting a blood drive on Monday, October 4 from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m.  The drive will be held in the Lake County Bureau auditorium at 70 US Highway 45, Grayslake. 

 

Annual Meeting Announced

The Lake County Farm Bureau is pleased to announce the upcoming 96th annual meeting, which will take place Wednesday September 22, 2010 at the Marriot Lincolnshire Resort.  The doors for the event will open at 6:00 p.m. and a New York strip steak dinner will be served at 6:30. The business meeting will begin at 8:00 p.m. with this year's guest speaker, NBC-5 Meteorologist Ginger Zee, to follow.

Lake County Students Receive $4,600 in FB Scholarships

The Lake County Farm Bureau is pleased to announce the names of the recipients of the many scholarships offered to members of our organization.  The recipients of this year's scholarships received a combined total of $4,600 that will be used to help fund their tuition while attending college.

Monster Machines Fundraiser at Wagner Farm!

The Lake County Livestock Fund would like to invite children of all ages to attend the first ever Monster Machines fundraiser event on Sunday, August 29th from 1-5pm at Wagner Farm in Glenview. Some of the largest construction and modern farming machines will be available for children to see, hear and even climb on! More fun activities include rope making, face painting, farm animals, a pedal power tractor pull and tractor drawn hay rides. In addition, all exhibits at the Historic Wagner Farm will be open. UPDATED Lake County Farmer's Markets

In an effort to raise awareness of local farmer's markets, the Lake County Farm Bureau would like to present a listing of local markets.  Within the coming weeks several farmer's markets will be opening for the summer season in many towns and regions across Lake County.  Not only do these markets allow public access to very healthy foods they also help support local agribusiness.  Please take some time to view the many opportunities here in Lake County!

Please join us for two days at the Warrens Cranberry Festival in Warrens, Wisconsin.  This festival is the world's largest cranberry festival and there is something for everyone at Cranfest, including shopping, contests, a parade and much more.

Apple Holler Red Barn Theatre

Please join us for an enjoyable morning on Friday, October 8 at the Apple Holler Red Barn Theatre located at 5006 S Sylvania Ave, Sturtevant, WI.  Your morning will include a delicious full course farm breakfast, browsing through the Country Gift Store and of course the theatre.  Breakfast is served at 9:00 a.m. and the show will follow.
