2017 LCFB Scholarships
 
Over $5,000 in scholarships available in 2017
 
The Lake County Farm Bureau will once again be offering numerous opportunities for scholarships this year to our members and their dependants.  The Lake County Farm Bureau would like to encourage all students who qualify to apply for the various scholarships that are available on an annual basis through our organization.
 
Application packets which include all rules, details, and deadlines for each of the scholarships are available at the Lake County Farm Bureau office which is located at 70 US Hwy 45, Grayslake.  For more information about the available scholarships, or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact Information Director Andy Blaul at 847-223-6506, or by email at ablaul@ameritech.net.
 
Please take a moment to review the details of each available scholarship, and their corresponding eligibility criteria:
 
~$1,200 ELBERT & MARY ELSBURY SCHOLARSHIP (Click here for application)
 
Applicants are required to be a child of a Lake County Farm Bureau member, or members themselves who have had an active membership with the Farm Bureau for at least two years, and a resident of Lake County, Illinois.  Applicants must also be attending a post-secondary institution (including an accredited college, a university, a junior college, a community college, or a trade school.)  Eligible majors for this scholarship include Agriculture, a field related to Agriculture, Home Economics, or a field related to home economics.  The deadline for applications for this scholarship is May 1, 2017.
 
$500 WALTER KRUMREY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (Click here for application)
 
Applicants are required to be a child of a Lake County Farm Bureau member, or a member themselves who have been in good standing for at least one year.  Applicants must also reside in Lake County, Illinois, and must be attending the College of Lake County.  The deadline for applications for this scholarship is May 1, 2017.
 
 
AGRICULTURE IN THE CLASSROOM SCHOLARSHIP (Click here for application)
 
Applicants are required to be a child of a Lake County Farm Bureau member, or a member themselves who have been in good standing for at least one year.  Applicants must be attending a post-secondary institution (including an accredited college, a university, junior college, or community college.)  Applicants for this scholarship MUST be entering a field related to agriculture. The deadline for applications for this scholarship is May 1, 2017.
